This beautiful interpretation of her done in bold colorways and patterns are painted by indigenous artisans on handmade paper. Amate (from the Nahuatl matl, meaning "paper") is a traditional, handmade bark paper used by indigenous artisans in Mexico for centuries, particularly in Guerrero and Puebla. It is produced by boiling and
